Hi @Sister,
It's great to hear about your brother's improvements. Baby steps are all part of the journey in getting well again. I like that you have a clear idea of where you'd like to be with your bro. It gives you something tangible to work towards. How to get there is a big question. Could you start off with tiny steps, such as going out once per week for a short amount of time and ask him to do one task (preferably something small such as making the bed, having a shower, or even getting out of bed - depends on what is realistic and what is achievable for him). The time you spend away to start off with could even just be 10 minutes to go for a walk or a quick coffee with a friend. A bit of YOU time, even it is small, it gives you something to work with. Then increase it gradually depending on how it goes? Also, it might be helpful to prepare him for it. Let him know in advance so he has to adjust. What are your thoughts about doing something like this?

hi @sister, hope things are going OK. Sounds like the gp is being really helpful especially if she can refer your brother to a psychologist, a good one can make ALL the difference as I know. And DO make time for yourself and to get out on your own without feeling guilty too as cherrybomb says. Take care.
